Questions
How long does it take?
Your quote includes a timeline. As a rough guide, a Starter website takes two to three weeks once we have your words and photos. Apps take longer and are planned in stages.
How does payment work?
For websites, you pay half to start and half at launch. For apps, you pay a deposit and then at milestones we agree in the quote. Upkeep is paid monthly.
Who owns the site and the code?
Once you've paid in full, you own the design, content and code we write just for you, and we hand over the files and accounts. Some parts use our own reusable code or open-source tools; you get a permanent licence to use and change those, and any developer you choose can work on them.
Where is it hosted?
We can host it for you as part of Upkeep, or set it up on an account in your name. Either way, the domain stays yours.
Can I make changes after launch?
Yes. Small edits are covered by Upkeep. Bigger changes get a quote first, so there are no surprises.
What if I'm not happy?
You see and approve the design before we build, and you check the finished work before it goes live. If something doesn't match what we agreed in your quote, tell us and we'll fix it. If you want to stop part way, you pay for the work done up to then, as set out in our service terms. If you're buying for personal use and cancel within 14 days before we've started, you pay nothing. This doesn't affect your legal rights.
